What It Does
The Organization offers low-cost art Products to the public and an array of Services to visual art exhibition venues. Commissioned Services aid each gallery in becoming a model for increased autonomy.
Both the Products and Services attempt to expand territories using bureaucratic vehicles and both utilize the definition of autonomy as the negotiation of social or legal contracts.
The research division keeps the Organization current in contemporary theories and methodologies for institutional and social organization.

What It Is
Autonomous Organization is an art practice as a Not For Profit Organization, whose projects are subject to the oversight of a Board of Directors. It is a device for fragmenting the authoritarian vision of the artist through a collective process, and aligning with and redefining what it means to work in the public interest.
